I'm Hunter, a Designer based in Utah Valley.

My UX journey began in 2018, triggered by a stark lesson in UI failure: the now infamous Hawai'i missile alert. Waking up to the chilling text: BALLISTIC MISSILE INBOUND, NOT A DRILL. A 38-minute ordeal caused by a simple button error, showed me the devastating real-world impact of poor design. That incident sparked a near-obsessive dive into the world of UX.

I feel beyond fortunate to do something I love each day and whether I’m working on a long standing enterprise, or a startup venture, my priority is always the same—make sure our users have an incredible, seamless experience, and avoid creating apocalyptic experiences for them.

When I'm not designing, you can catch me at your local record shop, reading the news at home, buying funko pops at nerd conventions or headed to a national park with my wife and son, blasting indie rock all the way.

My Values:

1. Be curious, not judgmental. 💡

This is my golden rule. I find there's few problems we encounter both personally and professionally that can't be improved by seeking to understand, instead of assuming. I love using this framework to understand our users and to delve deep into what makes them tick.

2. All growth is good growth. 🌿

I believe in the power of iterative growth. While I prioritize high-impact changes, I also understand that small, consistent improvements build momentum and create lasting value for our customers. Never underestimate the ripple small changes can make.

3. We're better when we're together. 🤝

Power in collaboration! Whether we're working as a team, a company, or side-by-side with our users, it's impossible to get the results we want unless we come together, and make a place at the table for everyone's voice to be heard.

4. If you're the smartest person in the room, you're in the wrong room. 🧠

There's no room for ego in our work, the best ideas must always win out. Time after time, I've received amazing ideas and feedback from the most unlikely sources so I never count anyone out when it's time to ideate a solution.
